It is constantly ranked as one of the most expensive streets internationally as well. Forbes Magazine cited it as the most expensive street in the world for 2008. It is comparable to the Miracle Mile of Chicago or Knightsbridge in London.

The Apple Store is a well-known landmark, being a 32-foot glass cube standing at East 58th Street.
